Rocky Branch Campground sits along the shore of Beaver Lake in the Ozark Mountains, about a brief drive east of Rogers via Highways 12 and 303. The campground offers 43 sites in total: 41 that will accept both RVs and tents and 2 that are tent-only, each laid out to give families and groups plenty of room to spread out. Campsites alternate between small sunny clearings and pockets of hardwood shade, and many are only steps from the lake shoreline. Practical comforts here include drinking water, flush toilets, fire rings and picnic tables, plus a boat ramp and a playground for kids everything you need for a multi-generational trip without relying on distant facilities. Because site details such as hookups, fees and reservation rules can change, check the Army Corps of Engineers Beaver Lake page for current policies before you go. What sets Rocky Branch apart is how quickly the landscape shifts from campsite to water and upland forest, so it's easy to move from relaxing at your picnic table to launching a boat or heading out on a trail. Beaver Lake itself covers more than 28,000 surface acres and offers a wide slate of water recreation boating, water skiing, scuba diving, swimming and other water sports while anglers can target largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bream, white bass, stripers and channel or spoon-bill catfish; the colder waters just below Beaver Dam are known for rainbow and large German brown trout. The surrounding karst topography provides limestone bluffs and natural caves for photographers and casual explorers, and miles of Ozark hardwoods support wildlife viewing, hiking and nearby upland hunting. Several commercial marinas around the lake operate year-round with groceries, fuel, boat rentals, fishing guides and supplies, making it convenient to outfit a day on the water or replenish camp provisions.
