“We have camped here for many years. Site #24 is our favorite. But the pad at this site has been breaking down for the last 5 years or so. The pad needs to be updated before it washes away.”

Indian Creek Campground sits on the shoreline of Beaver Lake in the Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas, about a 15-mile drive west from Eureka Springs along Highway 62 before turning onto Indian Creek Road. The loop contains 33 campsites, and every site is set up to accommodate both RVs and tents spacious, sunny plenty-of-room sites that still offer shade from mixed hardwoods and flowering shrubs. Sites are located just steps from the water, and the campground provides basic comforts such as drinking water, flush toilets, fire rings and picnic areas; a playground and a small specialized sports area are also listed among nearby recreational facilities. If you need services for boating or resupply, several year-round commercial marinas around the lake sell groceries and fuel and offer boat rentals, guides and other supplies. What draws most people here is the water and the landscape: Beaver Lake covers more than 28,000 surface acres and the project produces some 449 miles of shoreline at conservation pool, framed by limestone bluffs and natural caves that attract photographers and casual explorers alike. Anglers will find largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bream, white bass, stripers and catfish in the lake, while the colder stretch of the White River just below the dam is known for rainbow and large brown trout. Beyond fishing and boating, opportunities include hiking and mountain biking on nearby trails, water sports, scuba diving, picnicking, wildlife viewing and, in season, hunting in the surrounding forests.
