Alpine Ridge Campground sits on the lake edge in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, where the shoreline drops into clear water fed by the Caddo River. The campground provides 48 campsites total all 48 are configured to serve both RVs and tents, and every site includes electric hookups; nearby common facilities include flush toilets and hot showers so you won't be roughing it unless you want to. A sandy swimming beach and a playground are steps from the loops, and a convenient boat ramp puts water access within a short carry of most sites, which makes Alpine Ridge a practical base for families, anglers and watersports enthusiasts. The broader DeGray Lake project adds amenities you can use during your stay: a visitor center, a marina and public swimming pool, a lodge and golf course at DeGray Lake Resort State Park, plus a group camp area with a dining hall and eight sleep shelters if you're traveling with a larger party. Water recreation is the dominant draw here boating, water skiing, kayaking, scuba diving and a full slate of water sports are supported by the lake's 13,500 surface acres and its reputation as one of the region's "Diamond Lakes" for clear water. Anglers will find hybrid striped bass and other game fish around both bank and boatable structure, and the park supports fishing tournaments and triathlon events on a regular basis. Trails and shoreline provide opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, biking and wildlife viewing, while picnic spots, a playground and nearby tennis courts add daytime options; the Ouachita National Forest and Hot Springs National Park are within easy reach for day trips.
