“The campsite is next to the lake and convenient for launching a boat. The downside is early morning noise from the boat ramp. Bathroom nearby and electricity at the campsite. ”
“Glad that it was turtle head sticking up out of the water instead of snake. Sure was a peaceful week but I wish we have showers in the bathroom since the rates are the same as the area that have showers. I love being close to the water.”

Caddo Drive Campground sits on a tree-covered ridge that drops to a bluff along DeGray Lake in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, a setting noted for its local geological formations and a designated Top 25 scenic view. The loop contains 71 campsites in all: 29 sites configured for both RVs and tents, 15 reserved for RV use, and 27 tent-only sites. Every campsite at Caddo Drive includes electric hookups, and the campground supports comfortable stays with flush toilets and heated showers. If you want to get on the water from here there's a nearby boat ramp and a swimming beach for daytime use; the larger DeGray Lake project also includes a visitor center, a state park swimming pool, a marina, lodge and golf course, and a group camp area with a dining hall and eight sleep shelters for larger gatherings. Recreation at and around Caddo Drive ranges from low-key to highly active: DeGray Lake's 13,500 surface acres and roughly 207 miles of shoreline (average depth about 47 feet) make it a regular host for fishing tournaments, triathlons, boating, jet-skiing and scuba diving, while calmer options include kayaking tours, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing. Onshore amenities in the broader park system include picnicking areas, playgrounds, tennis and horseback-riding trails, and visitor-center programs; you'll also find concessions and a resort-style lodge a short drive away. The campground is easily reached from Interstate 30 (take exit 78 and follow State Highway 7 north toward the DeGray Lake area), but specifics on fees, reservation windows and seasonal availability are set by the Army Corps of Engineers/DeGray Lake State Park check their official site or call ahead before you pack.
