Boulder Park Campground sits along West Tensleep Creek on the western approach to the Cloud Peak Skyway, about fifty miles east of Worland in the Bighorn National Forest. The site cluster contains 31 campsites, each intended for single-family use and set up to accommodate both RVs and tents; every site includes a picnic table and a campfire ring with grill. Practical amenities on site are accessible vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection; if you need a dump station plan on a 15-mile trip to Powder River Pass. Two non-towed vehicles are allowed per site the basic fee covers the first vehicle and the second is charged $9.00 per day at the campground and firewood bundles can be purchased from the campground host. Reservations and refunds are handled through recreation.gov (refund requests incur a $10 processing fee retained by the reservation contractor), and the campground is managed by Gallatin Canyon Campgrounds (gccampgrounds13@gmail.com) if you need direct questions answered. The campground's open meadow and surrounding lodgepole pine put you close to lakes, streams and trailheads that define the Bighorn experience. Meadowlark Lake lies just a couple miles away and permits motorized craft at wake-less speed, while West Tensleep Lake a few miles north is restricted to non-motorized boats both are popular for canoeing and fishing. Trails and scenic jeep roads fan out from the area, with some routes leading into the Cloud Peak Wilderness and to landmarks such as the old High Park Lookout near Meadowlark Lake; off-road vehicle trails, hiking, fishing and horseback riding are common day-use activities nearby. If you want supplies, meals or guided services, Deer Haven Lodge and Meadowlark Lodge are close by and offer dining, lodging and outfitting including guided horseback trips and fishing assistance.
