“The site number need to be better They are fading away”
“We love the area. Kids can swim, fish, paddleboard. The sites are sometimes hard to find a place to pitch a tent on. The hand pumps for the water were padlocked. The website said there was water even 1-2 days before we came. Luckily we brought water”

Hog Park Campground sits on the southeast shore of Hog Park Reservoir at about 8,400 feet, opening onto broad views of the lake and surrounding Sierra Madre peaks. The clearing was recently logged to remove beetle-killed timber, so campsites are sunny and offer easy sightlines to the water and the Continental Divide skyline. The campground is a convenient base for boating and water sports from a nearby boat ramp, and anglers will find both lake and stream fishing opportunities in the immediate area; several trailheads and segments of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail are within easy reach for day hikes or longer backpacking routes. Weather here is high-elevation country expect semi-arid conditions at lower elevations but abrupt cold, high winds or even summer snow at 8,400 feet so plan layers and be prepared for sudden changes. The campground has 50 sites total; every site is designated to accommodate both RVs and tents, and the loops are arranged so that 27 sites in the first two loops can be reserved in advance (sites 1 16, 18, 19, 31, 32, and 44 50). The back loop contains 22 smaller, non-reservable walk-in sites with a tighter turning radius that the campground recommends only for tents and small campers. Basic amenities include picnic tables, drinking water, fire grates and vault toilets, and there is a boat ramp nearby; however, campers should note the current fee-area notice that there is no trash service pack it in, pack it out. Fees are $10 per night per site plus $5 per additional vehicle per day; first-come sites use a self-service fee station and reservations (for reservable sites) may be made up to six months in advance through recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777 (cash and checks accepted; make checks payable to USDA Forest Service).
