“Huge site - beautiful and private grounds. No water in the group site area but there is water elsewhere in the camp. Nice shelter area on the top of the site, and huge firepit area at the bottom. ”
“Excellent combination of private/group experience. Shaded.”
“Site was very well maintained - firepits cleaned, area raked and picked up, bathrooms excellent. The camp hosts (John and Joanna ??) were helpful and pleasant. Good people!”

Chatter Creek Group Site sits on the banks of Chatter Creek beneath stands of pine and fir, offering a single, large group campsite that serves both RVs and tents. The lone site is sized to hold up to 45 people and 12 vehicles, and comes furnished with picnic tables, a group campfire ring, accessible vault toilets and drinking water enough infrastructure to support family reunions, scout groups or multi-vehicle outings without scattered individual sites. From camp you can drop a line into the pebble-strewn edges of Chatter Creek where trout are common, step onto the nearby Icicle Gorge Loop Trail for an easy valley-bottom hike along Icicle Creek, or tackle the steeper, brushier Chatter Creek Trail for a more challenging climb. In winter the Wenatchee Ranger District draws people for skiing, snowmobiling, tubing and skijoring, and several motorized and non-motorized Sno-Parks in the area provide access to groomed trails as well as ungroomed snow routes. The broader Okanogan-Wenatchee landscape around you ranges from wet, tree-lined valleys to high, glaciated peaks and alpine lakes, with the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Leavenworth's Bavarian-style town, Mount Rainier and Goat Rocks Wilderness all within regional day-trip range for longer adventures. Practical details are straightforward but important: there is only one reservable campsite at Chatter Creek (a combined RV/tent group site), so if you need the space you should reserve ahead and be aware of group-site cancellation and no-show rules. If you cancel a group overnight facility reservation less than 14 days before arrival you will be charged a $10 service fee and forfeit the first night's use fee; no-shows are assessed a $20 service fee and forfeit the first night's rate, taxes and any applicable add-ons. Refund requests must be submitted through your Recreation.gov profile within seven days after your reservation end date; card refunds are returned to the original payment method, while cash/check refunds are issued by Treasury check and can take 6 8 weeks. In the event of an emergency closure all fees will be refunded. The site has limited on-site staffing call (661) 702-1420 for general information and is reached from Highway 2 by turning onto Icicle River Road and following it about 16 miles from either Leavenworth or Stevens Pass, making it an accessible base for both lowland creek-side relaxing and higher-elevation explorations.
