“Great amount of space for our group. Convenient location for hiking and access to Leavenworth for a day trip. Road noise from highway was loud! Also the water was out during our stay - check ahead in case you need to bring water.”
“Big site with dispersed camp spots. The camp host was really nice and helpful. Camped at night and went into Leavenworth for the day which was a lot of fun. Would recommend for a group. ”

Perched at about 2,500 feet in the northern reaches of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Mineral Springs Group Campground sits alongside Highway 97 roughly 21 miles northeast of Cle Elum. The site faces a mix of high glaciated peaks and pockets of old-growth forest, with the granite mass of Mount Stuart visible on clear days from nearby ridgelines. There is a single reservable campsite at Mineral Springs that accommodates both RVs and tents and can take groups (the group facility is set to the left as you cross the bridge into the campground). On-site amenities are straightforward and practical: each setup includes picnic tables and campfire rings with grills, plus vault toilets and a potable water source. Staffing is limited; for general information call (661) 702-1420 before you go. The campground functions well as a base for summer and early-fall pursuits day hiking, overnight backpacking and horseback riding are all common here, and several access trails leave directly from the area; mountain biking is also popular on nearby routes. In winter the terrain is used for skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. A short excursion to Red Top Mountain rewards hikers with the historic Red Top Fire Lookout (often open July through mid-September) and wide views that on clear days include Mt. Stuart and the Teanaway Valley. Wildlife in the vicinity includes deer, porcupine, native fish in local streams and a variety of migratory birds. If you need to reserve or change plans, note the reservation policies: cancellations of group overnight facilities made less than 14 days before arrival incur a $10 service fee and forfeit the first night's use fee; no-shows are assessed a $20 service fee and forfeit the first night's rate, taxes and applicable add-ons. Refund requests must be submitted through your Recreation.gov profile within seven days of your reservation's end date; refunds to cards are credited back to the original payment method, and check or cash refunds are issued by Treasury check (which may take 6 8 weeks). In the event of an emergency closure all fees will be refunded.
