“Awesome campground. We had 2 sites reserved and 12 people and lots of room for more. Great location, trail system 1 minute to the campground.”
“Great campsite with several raised tent pads, picnic tables with covered shelter, and clean pit toilets. Campsite is close to biking trails. Perfect for large groups.”

Sitting on the edge of the Klondike Bluffs about 23 miles north of Moab along US-191, North Klondike Campground is a practical basecamp for mountain bikers and anyone wanting quick access to the wider canyon country. The campground contains 27 sites in total all configured to accommodate both RVs and tents with 25 individual sites available on a strict first-come, first-served basis and two group sites that can be reserved in advance. Individual sites include a gravel parking pad sized for two vehicles (a vehicle pulling a trailer counts as two), a picnic table, and a fire ring; group sites provide room for up to six vehicles on the pad, a larger fire ring, picnic tables, a BBQ grill and a shade shelter. Vault toilets and trash receptacles are nearby, but there is no drinking water or electrical hookups, so plan to arrive self-sufficient and carry potable water. To claim a first-come site you must be physically present and pay at the campsite by scanning the posted QR code with the Recreation.gov mobile app (download before arrival). Individual site fees are $20 per night and are non-refundable; group sites are $100 and are subject to reservation rules and fees handled through Recreation.gov and the BLM Moab Field Office (435-259-2100). What draws people here is the riding and the landscape: the North Klondike trail system offers more than 50 miles of singletrack ranging from fast, flowy runs to tight technical sections, and Klondike Bluffs puts you within easy reach of other world-class mountain bike networks as well as hundreds of miles of OHV and four-wheel routes. The campground also sits within short drives of Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Hovenweep and Natural Bridges National Monuments, and the cooler forests and scenic switchbacks of the La Sal Mountain Loop Road. Copper Ridge dinosaur tracks and the Dinosaur Stomping Grounds trailheads are within about a mile of the campground, and desert wildlife including a healthy population of bighorn sheep is most noticeable in the fall. Spring and fall bring the highest visitor numbers, and a volunteer campground host is often on site in those seasons to help with site selection and trip planning. Before you go, check the Moab Camping Guide or the Colorado River Moab Daily Camping Map for current conditions, follow Tread Lightly and Leave No Trace practices, and call the Moab Field Office at (435) 259-2100 with any facility-specific questions.
