“Very quiet and serene environment. Had take out Thai from food truck in town and had dinner by camp fire! Close enough to Arches entrance. Probably our fav dry site so far.”
“Nothing special campground wise, but toilet was clean”

Ken's Lake Campground sits roughly 8 10 miles south of Moab off Highway 191 and is part of the larger Ken's Lake Recreation Area, which includes the man-made reservoir (electric motors only), a gravel boat ramp, and hiking/equestrian trails. The campground contains 48 sites that accommodate both RVs and tents; each site has a gravel parking pad sized for two vehicles (a vehicle pulling a trailer counts as two), a picnic table, and a fire ring, with vault toilets and trash receptacles nearby. Sites are $20 per night plus a Recreation.gov reservation fee. The campground is divided into two loops with different rules: Loop A is reservation-only through Recreation.gov (reservations can be made the day of up to six months in advance where service is available) and is the loop favored by large motorhomes and trailers; Loop A has little vegetation and is closed during low-use periods (summer and winter, dates vary). Loop B is first-come, first-served year-round, offers smaller, shadier sites under juniper and cottonwood trees (turning large rigs can be difficult), and accepts cash, check, or scan-and-pay through the Recreation.gov mobile app. There is cell service for most providers at the campground entrance, and questions or booking assistance can be directed to the BLM Moab Field Office at 435-259-2100 or blm_ut_mb_mail@blm.gov. The setting is a mix of red rock fins to the east, sagebrush flats to the south and west, and the reservoir to the north, with distant views of the La Sal Mountains and the Moab Rim at an elevation of about 5,085 feet expect freezing lows from October through March and highs commonly in the mid-90s to above 100°F from June through August. On-site amenities are basic: there is no drinking water and no electrical hookups, and a seasonal campground host is present in spring and fall to help with site allocation and trip planning. Recreation options begin at the lake and nearby diverted creek hike or ride to Faux Falls, boat (non-motorized or electric), fish, or launch local trails (more than three miles of nearby trails), and OHV riders will note the Steel Bender Jeep Safari Route runs adjacent to the campground. Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Hovenweep and Natural Bridges national monuments, the Manti-La Sal National Forest and the La Sal Mountain Loop Road are all within easy reach for day trips. If you reserve through Recreation.gov, be aware of the site-change and cancellation rules: a $10 fee applies for changes that move dates entirely outside your original reservation, cancellations incur a $10 service fee (late cancellations starting midnight one day before arrival also forfeit the first night's fee), no-shows are assessed a $20 Recreation.gov fee plus forfeiture of the first night, and certain interagency passes (Senior Annual/Lifetime, Access, Golden Age/Golden Access) only discount the recreation fee when the pass holder occupies the site.
