“Very enjoyable. Campground was pretty full but everyone was respectful. The tent spots were perfect. It was a little muddy after it rained but not bad. Overall good experience.”
“Campground is in horrible condition. No paint on tables, broken table planks, trip Hazzards all over the site. The usfs should take better care of the peoples campgrounds.”
“Site 8 was a large camp spot, away from other campers. A little dusty but very pretty with its own path down to the pond.”

Perched at about 7,400 feet on a hillside above the small, man-made Yearns Reservoir, Manti Community Campground sits 7 miles east of Manti, Utah on Forest Development Road #045 and is reached by a dirt road that does not require high clearance. The campground is set in a mixed stand of spruce, pinyon, juniper, fir and aspen that gives a mix of sun and shade, and summer brings abundant wildflowers and wildlife viewing opportunities. Yearns Reservoir is compact but scenic: anglers can expect rainbow and cutthroat trout, and the lake is quiet enough for canoeing. A short, easy trail loops around the reservoir with fishing access points on the north, west and south shores, and hikers will encounter a wooden bridge, two small stream crossings and a set of wooden stairs along the route, with both shaded and exposed segments. The immediate area is also a draw for mountain bikers, horseback riders and hikers, while ATV and OHV users will find access to several nearby routes part of the 350-plus mile Arapeen OHV Trail System, including the Burnt Hill and Patton trails and short drives to places like Milky Falls. The campground contains seven campsites in total: six single-family sites that accept both RVs and tents plus one group site that can accommodate up to 30 people and six vehicles. Facilities are basic but serviceable for a forest campground: gravel roads and parking spurs, multiple vault toilets and footpaths that lead down to the reservoir. There is no detailed listing here of hookups, potable water or fee/reservation rules, so plan on limited services and check with Manti-La Sal National Forest for current fees, reservation options and seasonal openings or restrictions before you go. Beyond the immediate lakeside recreation, the broader Manti-La Sal National Forest offers a wide range of activities biking, hunting, interpretive programs, picnicking, winter sports and more so Manti Community makes a compact, convenient base for both mellow shoreline days and off-site adventures.
