“Camp host John runs a tight ship! The place was clean and his presence was known. He is the reason why we had a great time! ”
“We had a great time. The campground host was great very friendly. The restrooms were clean overall a great campground. ”
“Te-ah is a beautiful campground. We have been going there for years. Most of the sites have plenty of shade and don't feel too close to each other. We especially love having flushing toilets while camping!”

DIXIE NATIONAL FOREST
Open in Google Maps ↗
Te-Ah Campground sits high on the Colorado Plateau at about 9,200 feet, where an aspen forest opens onto a meadow and several sites look out toward Navajo Lake's western edge. The approach is straightforward: from Cedar City follow Highway 14 east and then head south on Navajo Lake Road to the basin; a newly paved road skirts the shoreline and brings cars, trailers and bicycles right to the campground. Te-Ah contains 41 single sites each equipped with a picnic table and a campfire ring and all 41 are suitable for both tents and RVs. One designated group site (site #33) accommodates up to 20 people and includes tables, a bicycle wash, parking racks and a workspace intended for self-contained kitchens. Camp comfort is practical rather than rustic: you'll find flush and vault toilets and drinking water piped from a spring. Note that OHV/ATV use, including street-legal machines, is not allowed inside the campground; riders need to trailer machines in and out. Recreation centers on the lake and the trail network around it. Navajo Lake, visible from several campsites, is the obvious draw for canoeing, kayaking and fishing, and boat rentals, a ramp and basic supplies are available at nearby Navajo Lake Lodge. The Cascade Falls Trailhead is inside the campground, offering routes through varied vegetation and good wildlife viewing, while the 34-mile Virgin River Rim Trail passes close by for hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. Within a short drive are family-friendly waters like Duck Creek Pond (about eight miles east) and geological side trips including Cascade Falls, Ice Cave and Mammoth Cave; Cedar Breaks National Monument is roughly a 20-minute drive away, and the Ashdown Gorge Wilderness with its Twisted Forest of bristlecone pines sits just beyond that. Information on fees, reservations and seasonal openings isn't provided here consult the Forest Service or Navajo Lake Lodge for current conditions and booking rules while the campground's paved access and bicycle-friendly group facilities make it a common stop for touring cyclists passing through this corner of Dixie National Forest.
