“Awesome small park - beautiful trees, uninhibited view of the lake, access for paddling or swimming. Area nicely kept up!”
“The lake is pretty and the sites were recently mowed, but there are few amenities. The bathrooms are unusable and there is no water, so pack accordingly. ”

Pecan Point Park sits on the north shore of Navarro Mills Lake in central Texas, reachable from State Highway 31 between Corsicana and Waco via the local farm-to-market roads that lead down to the lake. The campground contains 21 sites, each configured to accommodate both RVs and tents, and most campsites offer at least some shade from trees. On-site amenities make basic camping straightforward: there are flush toilets, drinking water, picnic tables and grills at campsites, trash collection, and a high-water boat launch ramp for getting boats into the lake. Because the day-use area supports picnicking and short visits as well as overnight stays, expect family-friendly features like a playground and a concession site near the shoreline; detailed fee and reservation information isn't included here, so plan to contact the park office or check the managing agency before you go, especially for holiday weekends or peak spring bloom season. Recreation at Pecan Point centers on the water and the birds. Navarro Mills holds the Texas state record for white crappie (4 lbs 9 oz), and anglers target crappie, channel and yellow catfish, and hefty hybrid stripers particularly below the dam during water releases; there's a full-service marina on the lake and a fishing pier at Liberty Hill for anglers who prefer shore access. Birdwatchers can spend hours here songbirds, hawks, great blue herons, ducks, geese and other shorebirds are common, and a bald eagle is an occasional visitor while spring brings prolific wildflower displays of bluebonnets, paintbrush and other natives along the lakeshore. Beyond fishing and birding, the broader recreation area supports boating, water sports, hiking, wildlife viewing and playground activities, so Pecan Point works well for anglers, families and people looking to split time between shoreline pursuits and short walks through mixed habitat where you might spot deer, raccoon, armadillo, fox or even bobcat.
