“I enjoyed camping at Cape Perpetua. It has nice, clean flush toilets and a short hike to a large Sitka spruce tree at the end of the campground. Its nice to hike up to the visitor center and then out to the coast from the campground. I'll definitely camp there again!”
“Our campsite provided no screening from either the road or adjoining campsites. The camp host was MIA. Staff at Visitor Center did not have information about a specific trail that interested us. The area is stunningly beautiful but overlooks are quite crowded.”
“Wonderful campground and good facilities. ”

CAPE PERPETUA Campground sits along Cape Creek on the east side of Highway 101 in the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, about 22 miles north of Florence and 3 miles south of Yachats. The site is wooded with large Sitka spruce, Douglas fir and alder framing many campsites that back up to the creek; steep coastal cliffs, rolling hills and sand dunes are all within short drives or hikes from camp. There are 38 sites in total: 26 sites that accommodate both RVs and tents and 12 tent-only sites. Each site includes a picnic table and a campfire ring, and the campground provides flush toilets and drinking water. The Cape Perpetua Visitor Center is reachable by a short, moderate hike from the campground and offers ocean views plus interpretive programming and short films in its theater. For RV users, the nearest dump stations are not on-site but are located about 12 miles north in Waldport and about 12 miles south at Carl G. Washburne State Park. Recreation in and around Cape Perpetua ranges from exploring rocky tide pools and shoreline to hiking stretches of old-growth forest: a 23-mile trail system threads the area, with multiple trails that lead from the campground to coastal overlooks. Within the broader Siuslaw National Forest and the Cape Perpetua area you'll find opportunities for wildlife viewing, fishing, boating and other water sports, picnicking, horseback riding and interpretive programs plus general camping and recreational vehicle access. Practical details such as fees, reservation policies and seasonal restrictions aren't included here, so check the Siuslaw National Forest or the Cape Perpetua Visitor Center for current information before you go.
