Blue Bill Point Campground
Open in Google Maps ↗
Blue Bill Point sits on the gentle shore of Flat Rock Bay on Fort Gibson Lake, where a gradual slope leads down to a protected, shallow cove that makes launching kayaks and canoes and wading for a swim unusually easy. The campground is small and quiet popular with families and retirees and offers 41 sites in total: 40 that accommodate both RVs and tents (all with electric hookups) and one tent-only site. Facilities are straightforward and functional: flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, two boat ramps and a courtesy dock for putting in and taking out boats, a playground and a concrete cornhole pitch. A short walk outside the campground finds a small fishing pond and mixed hardwood forest, with open cultivated fields beyond that often bring wildlife into view. Fort Gibson Lake is nearly 20,000 acres with roughly 225 miles of shoreline, and the broader lake area supports boating, swimming, fishing and extensive wildlife viewing; anglers can expect black bass, white bass, crappie and several varieties of catfish and panfish, and three heated fishing docks on the lake provide winter crappie opportunities. Hunters using the surrounding public lands pursue whitetail deer, quail, dove, ducks, geese, rabbits and squirrels in season. Blue Bill Point is open year-round; reservations and cancellations follow the park's fee policy cancellations made 48 hours or more before arrival incur a $10 fee, while cancellations within 24 hours incur a late cancellation fee of $10 plus the first night's camping fee. For navigation, the campground is reached from Wagoner by heading north on Highway 69 a few miles and then following local roads to the park entrance; the campground address is 67260 S. 307 Rd., Wagoner, OK 74467 and its GPS coordinates are 36.043153, -95.336889.
