“There are many repairs needing repaired at the camp. Also no one is enforcing the rules about only staying 2 weeks. ”
“We love Caney Creek after years of vacations several times per year. ”
“We have camped at many Corp lakes and even volunteered for 2 years. Your camp host are absolutely amazing. Very friendly and accommodating!! We live Marlin and Connie!!”

Caney Creek Campground sits on the northern shore of Lake Texoma among rolling hills of post and blackjack oak, a short drive south of Kingston off Highway 32 via Donahoo Road (follow signs about 6 miles on the paved access road). The lake is one of the few reservoirs where striped bass reproduce naturally, so fishing is a major draw anglers will also find largemouth and smallmouth bass, white and hybrid striped bass, crappie and several catfish species. Daytime options spill beyond angling: boating, water sports, and swimming from sandy beaches; the 14-mile Cross Timbers hiking trail runs along rocky ledges above the lake for more substantial hikes; and about 40 miles of equestrian trails thread the region for riders. Waterfowl and raptor viewing are reliable here nearby Hagerman and Tishomingo national wildlife refuges attract migrating Canada and snow geese, ducks, shorebirds and bald eagles each year (Hagerman: 903-786-2826; Tishomingo: 580-371-2402) and you'll frequently see deer, wild turkey, bobcats, hawks and songbirds around the campground itself. The campground has 52 sites in total: Loop A contains 41 sites and Loop B contains 10 sites. Of those 52 sites, 41 are set up for both RVs and tents with electrical and water hookups and 11 are primitive tent-only sites. On-site facilities include flush and vault toilets, showers, drinking water, paved access, a boat ramp and dock, a dump station, a small playground and a day-use group picnic shelter with electricity. Commercial concessions around the lake provide overnight lodgings, boat rentals, slip rental and supplies; for information on private resorts and concessions contact the Lake Texoma Association at 580-564-2334. For up-to-date details about fees, reservations and seasonal availability, check with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operating Lake Texoma before you go.
