“When we arrived at our campsite the grass and weeds were almost as tall as we were. The dumpsters had all been picked up and didn’t get put back for a week, and the restrooms were locked. I have never seen it look so bad.”
“It's been a good experience but needs mowed, stickers are everywhere also.”
“Good until the host locked the bathroom/showers because of Dems. Already for the use of facilities, without a refund.”

Buncombe Creek Campground sits on the northern shore of Lake Texoma amid rolling hills of post and blackjack oak that give the area a woodsy, rugged feel and plenty of shade. The campground has 54 sites, all configured to accommodate both RVs and tents, spread across three loops Loop A holds 10 sites, Loop B 6 sites, and Loop C the largest with 38 sites so you'll find everything from compact sites for a quieter stay to the slightly larger pull-throughs common in the bigger loop. Each campsite offers electrical and water hookups, and the campground provides flush and vault toilets, hot showers, drinking water, paved access, and a dump station. Two on-site boat ramps and a dock make launching easy for anglers and boaters, and the paved road in keeps the approach straightforward for trailers and tow vehicles; for exact addresses, Buncombe Creek's physical location is 1010 West Buncombe Creek Road, Willis, OK 75020. The lake is famous for its fishery striped bass reproduce naturally here, earning Lake Texoma the nickname "Striper Capital of the World," and anglers also target largemouth, smallmouth, white bass, crappie and catfish so expect steady fishing and busy boat traffic on summer weekends. Beyond the water, the broader Lake Texoma area offers 14 miles of the Cross Timbers hiking trail that runs on rocky ledges above the lake and about 40 miles of equestrian trails for riders, plus two national wildlife refuges (Hagerman and Tishomingo) that draw migratory birds, bald eagles and wintering geese; deer, turkey and other native animals are commonly seen near the campground. A number of commercial concessions and private resorts around the lake provide boat rentals, slips and supplies contact the Lake Texoma Association at 580-564-2334 for concession details and for current fees, reservations and seasonal information consult the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers managing Lake Texoma (refuge info: Hagerman 903-786-2826, Tishomingo 580-371-2402).
