“Super nice, super clean, well maintained park. Kathleen the park host was very friendly and helpful”
“Pristine sites and clean bathrooms. Quiet. Camp Host was very friendly and suggested area spots to visit. Broken grill at #5 but we just used it for an evening fire pit. Will reserve ClearCreek again.”

Clear Creek Campground sits in the pine-covered Jemez Mountains about 11 miles east of Cuba on New Mexico State Highway 126, roughly a one-and-a-half hour drive from Albuquerque. TOTAL CAMPSITES: 12 all 12 are both RV Sites & Tent Sites, and several feature paved RV pads that make parking larger rigs easier. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table, and the loop is served by vault toilets; there's a group site for larger parties (reservations for the Clear Creek Campground Group site are handled through recreation.gov at https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/10098564). Because the campground sits beside Clear Creek under a canopy of ponderosa pines, it tends to be noticeably cooler than the low desert in summer; in fall you may hear elk bugling in the early mornings and late evenings. Services such as lodging, restaurants and gas can be found in Cuba, the nearest town. Recreation at Clear Creek centers on access to water and trailheads: local streams and the nearby San Gregorio Reservoir offer fishing, while the San Pedro Parks Wilderness to the north provides a network of relatively gentle trails ideal for day hikes or beginner backpacking. Three primary trailheads San Gregorio, Palomas and Los Pinos are within driving distance of the campground, and the broader Santa Fe National Forest supports activities including biking, picnicking, winter sports and options for overnight stays in fire lookouts or cabins. For practical matters like fees, reservation windows, seasonal openings or road conditions, check the campground's page on recreation.gov before you go so you arrive prepared for the mountain weather and the limited on-site facilities.
