North Graysport Campground sits on the narrow strip of land between the two arms of Grenada Lake where the Yalobusha and Skuna Rivers come together to form the lake's characteristic V. At about 215 feet elevation, the reservoir covers roughly 35,820 acres with some 148 miles of shoreline, and the campground is set a little inland so campsites are generally quiet away from the direct sound of motorboats but still only a short drive from fishing, boating and swimming access. Birders and wildlife photographers will find plenty to study here waterfowl, bluebirds and white-tailed deer are commonly seen and the wider Grenada Lake area supports walking and fitness trails, tennis and baseball facilities, golfing and a visitor center where you can learn about the lake and local history. The area also preserves Civil War redoubts and hosts periodic reenactments, and the lake's annual "Thunder on Water" boating festival each June brings powerboat racing and crowds to the shoreline. The campground itself offers 50 campsites, each configured to serve both RVs and tents and equipped with water and electric hookups; sewer hookups have been added to campsites #1 50 so the entire loop now has full hookups. On-site amenities include hot showers, a boat ramp for lake access and an amphitheater for group programs; the broader park supports activities such as environmental education, hiking, picnicking, playground use, fishing, water sports and wildlife viewing. Reservations are handled by credit card and payment in full is charged when you complete a reservation; a $10 non-refundable reservation fee may apply to some facilities. If you change or cancel your reservation a $10 service fee will be charged, and late cancellations can incur additional fees.
