Guest ★ 5 · Jun 2026Lovely staff, very well maintained campground, the campgrounds along the Portneuf River are very relaxing and convenient to downtown Lava Hot Springs. The only downside is the train traffic that runs all night long. Bring noise canceling headphones, heavy duty earmuffs or really good ear plugs. It’s worth it!
Guest ★ 1 · Jun 2026On the Hwy and train tracks. So noisy can’t sleep the people there will make eye contact with you and then look the other way. I’ve never seen a KOA like that. OK the bathrooms are clean and the trash was picked up, but I would never stay there again their excuse for having no activities for the kids not even a swimming pool is they have so much going on in town that is not necessary.

It includes a gas stove top, oven, bbq, sink, and seating for approximately 50 people. Please note that a refrigerator is not available. Staff will provide guidance for extra parking when the pavilion is reserved. | All RV and tent sites feature fire pits, picnic tables, and or table and chairs for your convenience. For guests planning to fish on your vacation, we recommend reserving an RV site along the river. (map reference #2-16). Fishing licenses and LP gas fill up are available at the nearby Sunnyside Sinclair gas station on Hwy 30. | Downtown Lava Hot Springs is just a short walk from the campground, making it easy to enjoy one of the area's most popular attractions. Visitors from all around the world come to soak in the world-famous natural hot springs, open 363 days a year. These mineral-rich waters are the perfect way to relax, rejuvenate, and take in the peaceful mountain setting.
