“A quiet campground with very clean restrooms and a superb camp host. Close to fantastic fishing and Harriman Park. ”
“Absolutely loved the beauty and tranquility of our campsite. We were impressed with how quiet it was even with numerous other campers in the site.”
“The campground is well maintained. It has very beautiful views. The camp sites are far away from each other that you feel all alone in the forest. It was peaceful and quiet. The fishing is excellent! The price is reasonable. It is one of my favorite campgrounds.”

Riverside Campground sits on the banks of the Henry's Fork of the Snake River, about 15 miles north of Ashton, Idaho, reached by a short one-mile turnoff off Highway 20. The site sits at roughly 6,200 feet amid a mix of lodgepole pines and stands of aspen, with summer wildflowers brightening the river flats; moose and deer are commonly seen in the area. There are 35 total campsites each of those 35 sites can accommodate both RVs and tents and the campground also offers a single group site that holds up to 40 people. Individual sites come with a picnic table, campfire ring and grill; the campground provides vault toilets, drinking water and trash collection, but there is no electrical service or RV hookups. Firewood is sold by the host, and the nearest gas and grocery services are about 8 miles away, so plan fuel and supplies accordingly. The Henry's Fork at Riverside is a strong draw for anglers rainbow and brook trout are the main targets and the river also supports tubing, canoeing, kayaking and rafting right out of the campground. Beyond the river corridor, Island Park offers extensive trail networks for hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-highway vehicles, plus nearby boat ramps at Island Park Reservoir and Henry's Lake for more boating and fishing; Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are within day-trip distance for those looking to expand their outings. Because fees, reservation policies and seasonal openings can change, check the Caribou-Targhee National Forest or the local ranger district for current information before you go; the campground's basic facilities and river access make it a practical base for angling and multi-day outdoor adventures in the area.
