“Great campground with lots of trees, nearby hiking trails and nice sites. ”
“Excellent campground with clean toilets. Each site has a flat tent pad for small or large tents. They also have a flat area with a picnic table, cook table, and a top grade fire pit! Everything was perfect and we'll gladly come back to this campground again! ”

Edna Creek Campground sits at about 5,700 feet in a stand of Ponderosa pine along Highway 21 the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway roughly 56 miles northeast of Boise and about 18 miles north of Idaho City. The campground contains a total of 11 campsites, each set up to accommodate both RVs and tents, with graveled parking spurs and a mix of open spots and shaded edges where summer wildflowers and frequent wildlife sightings add color to the setting. Crooked River runs nearby and is where anglers chase whitefish and rainbow trout; the highway follows Mores Creek toward Mores Creek Summit, Gold Fork and Banner Ridge, so you'll have immediate access to a scenic drive as well as a variety of trails for day trips. Because the site sits close to the highway, expect some road noise during the daytime. Facilities are basic but practical: two vault toilets and a water pump serve the loop, and there is no trash service pack-in, pack-out. Campsites are arranged as singles and doubles: single sites include one picnic table, one utility table, one tent pad and one fire ring; double sites include two picnic tables, two utility tables, one tent pad and one fire ring. Nearby recreation in the Boise National Forest includes hiking, biking, horseback riding, ATV/ORV use, fishing, wildlife viewing and picnicking in summer, with backcountry skiing and snowmobiling common in winter months. The campground's small size and simple amenities mean you should check current opening dates, fees, and any reservation requirements with Boise National Forest before you go.
