“Restroom/Shower houses all Immaculate! Great location near lake, bike trails, North Liberty, Coralville, Iowa CIty.”
“We stayed in site 12. Nice and quiet. Large site, but a bit out of level. 4” over 25’, nothing a few stable blocks couldn’t fix.”

Linder Point Campground sits on the west side of the Coralville Lake dam within the Dam Complex, in the Iowa River Valley just north of Iowa City. The campground contains 17 campsites, each capable of accommodating both RVs and tents, and the site mix includes full hook-up, standard electric and non-electric options. A modern restroom and shower building serves the loop; the campground fee booth is located at the nearby West Overlook Campground, and the dump station and drinking water are just outside West Overlook. Sites curve through a mixed hardwood forest, so expect dappled shade and easy sightings of whitetail deer, wild turkeys and songbirds. The Linder Point Day Use Area provides picnic sites and immediate access to the Woodpecker Nature Trail, making it simple to move from cooks and chairs to a short walk or an evening campfire. Recreation at Linder Point is varied because it sits inside the broader Coralville Lake project: campers have quick access to lake water activities (boating, swimming and water skiing from local ramps), shoreline and river fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, walleye and catfish, and multiple trails within the Dam Complex for hiking and mountain biking. Within walking or a short drive are the Squire Point, Woodpecker, Tailwater Riverwalk and the barrier-free Veterans Trail, plus the nine-hole Turkey Creek Disc Golf Course. Downstream from the dam the Devonian Fossil Gorge exposes an ancient sea floor with 20 discovery points and a cell-phone audio tour for hands-on exploration. For services and side trips, Coralville and Iowa City are a few miles to the south with restaurants, the University of Iowa campus and medical facilities, while Cedar Rapids, Amana Colonies and the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site are all reasonable day-trip destinations. For current fees, reservation options and seasonal details, check with the park office or the Coralville Lake reservation system before you go.
