“Loved the wildlife. Saw some wild turkeys, quail, and a doe. The water was a little low but still managed to land 3 bass. Catch and release, of course. Would recommend going in the spring, when everything is green and beautiful. ”
“My family and I enjoy this campground very much.. the fact that it has electric hookups fur RVs is wonderful.. and is not expensive like other campgrounds.. I recommend this campground 💯”

Codorniz Recreation Area Campground sits on the western shore of Eastman Lake about an hour north of Fresno in the lower Sierra Nevada foothills, where rolling hills of oak and tall grasses open to broad views of the surrounding mountains. The lake itself covers about 1,780 surface acres and is fed by the cool waters of the Chowchilla River; it's also California's first designated Trophy Bass Fishery, making it a strong draw for anglers of all ages. Canoeing, boating and other water sports are easy to arrange from the nearby boat ramps (fish cleaning stations are located by each ramp), while shore-based activities include birding and wildlife viewing bobcats, golden eagles, hawks, mountain lions and wood ducks are all reported in the area. Eastman Lake supports a range of day-use activities too: picnicking, a playground, a park sport site and trails for hiking, and the campground area itself provides disc golf, volleyball and horseshoe pits for casual competition. The campground has a total of 86 campsites that accommodate a variety of users: 72 sites are configured for both RVs and tents, with an additional five RV-only sites, five tent-only sites and four equestrian sites for visitors with horses. The official loop inventory lists the EQUE loop with 1 site and the SOUT loop with 1 site. A mix of electric and non-electric hookups is available, showers are on site, wireless internet is provided from the campground office, and horse camping corrals are available for equestrian visitors. Practical matters to note: camping fees have increased, and seasonal conditions and reservation rules can change, so check with the managing office for current rates, reservation policies and access details; the campground is reached from Highway 99 by way of Avenue 26 and County Road 29, with signs directing you into the recreation area.
