“Lovely campsite by the lake. The fire pits seemed like they were recently replaced. The camp host was very friendly and helpful and the bathrooms were kept very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much! ”
“My Family and I had a great time Thank you staff specially, Mary very kind, informative and friendly.”
“Camp host very nice and accommodating! Site was roomy but not very shaded. Fit my trailer plus boat with room to spare in a double space. Lake was beautiful and the water perfect. Was in space 11. There were bears present in campground so keep food stored out of site. ”

Cedar Bluff sits on the forested shore of Bass Lake amid a stand of tall Ponderosa pines at about 3,400 feet, offering a mix of grouped and individual sites that suits families and small groups. The campground contains 22 campsites in total, arranged as double, triple and quad units; each unit is equipped with a picnic table, metal grill, campfire ring and a paved parking spur, and every site is listed as able to accommodate both RVs and tents. You'll find flush toilets (including accessible facilities) and drinking water on site, but take note that several sites are on slopes and tent space is sometimes limited to the paved spur rather than a separate flat tent pad. Cedar Bluff is reached from the Bass Lake area via Forest Road 222 about a short drive from Oakhurst and roughly 24 miles from the entrance to Yosemite National Park so it works well as a quieter lake-base for day trips into the high country. The lake itself supplies the main draw: Bass Lake has a small beach and a boat ramp and supports swimming, motorized and non-motorized boating, water skiing and sailing, plus fishing for bass, trout, bluegill and catfish; bald and golden eagles are commonly seen along the shoreline. Several hiking options start nearby, including Willow Creek, Goat Mountain, Spring Cove and the Way-of-the-Mono Interpretive Trail, and the ranger district runs educational programs on summer weekends. Practical details to plan for: individual campsites are generally available for reservation up to six months in advance (group sites up to 12 months), and Recreation.gov handles bookings and changes (transactions appear on card statements as "Recreation.gov 877-444-6777"). A $10 service fee applies to most reservation changes or cancellations, and late cancellations or no-shows can incur additional forfeitures (for example, cancelling the day before arrival typically forfeits the first night's use fee); refunds must be requested within 14 days after your scheduled departure. Because some policies and permit requirements vary by site, check the Cedar Bluff facility page on Recreation.gov or call 1-877-444-6777 for the exact rules that apply to your visit.
