“The Camp Host was so friendly! The location near Bass Lake made it a perfect base camp for us to visit Yosemite NP. The flush toilets were fully equipped and very clean. We loved our stay and will be returning next season!”
“Love it here lake and campground are pristine and the customers service at the gift shop and attached restaurant are excellent ! Food was amazing with large enough portions to feed to people! ”

Forks Campground sits on a forested hillside above Bass Lake at about 3,400 feet, where stands of cedar, ponderosa pine and oak shade 27 campsites and frame occasional views down to the water. The campground's sites are a mix of 22 that accommodate both RVs and tents and five tent-only sites; each unit includes a picnic table, a pedestal grill, a stone fire ring and a paved parking spur. Note that the parking spurs are paved but are not large enough for boat trailers, so if you plan to launch a boat from Bass Lake you'll need to park trailers elsewhere. A handful of sites afford limited lake views while others sit right next to the creek, and facilities include flush toilets (including accessible units) and drinking water. Wildlife is a part of the daily scene here Bass Lake is known for bass, trout, bluegill and catfish in the water and for bald and golden eagles in the trees and Forks sits within the Bass Lake Ranger District about a short drive off Forest Road 222 north of Oakhurst and roughly 24 miles from the Yosemite National Park entrance. The campground gives direct access to trails and lake recreation: Goat Mountain Trail (2.6 miles) begins at the camp, and nearby routes include Willow Creek (2.7 miles), Spring Cove (2.6 miles) and the 1-mile Way-of-the-Mono Interpretive Trail. On the water, Bass Lake provides a beach and a main boat ramp and supports swimming, motorized and non-motorized boating, waterskiing, sailing and fishing. Park staff typically run weekend educational programs in summer. Sites are reservable through Recreation.gov; individual sites can be reserved up to six months in advance (group sites up to 12 months), and changes or cancellations generally incur a $10 service fee deducted from refunds. Be aware of late-cancellation and no-show policies cancellations the day before or day of arrival may forfeit the first night's fee (and no-shows can face additional service fees) and check the facility's Recreation.gov page or call 1-877-444-6777 for the exact rules and any location-specific exceptions.
