“Exactly as advertised and depicted – very roomy and clean site, clean restrooms – nice little wayside! Was aware that there was going to be no water before I showed up, so I was not surprised!”
“No water, Notification sent out 2days after my arrival date.”

Dillon Creek Campground sits along Dillon Creek within a mixed hardwood and conifer forest at about 1,780 feet elevation, with the Klamath River running alongside the site and providing much of the area's pull. The campground is in northern California on State Route 96 roughly 60 miles north of Willow Creek or about 86 miles southwest from I-5 near Happy Camp giving relatively direct access to the Klamath and nearby Salmon River corridors. Those rivers are where most visitors spend their time: fishing and swimming close to camp, and whitewater rafting and longer float trips a short drive away. Fall and early winter are prime for salmon and steelhead anglers, and the surrounding forest supports seasonal hunting for species such as blacktail deer, black bear, blue grouse and quail. Beyond water-based recreation, the broader Six Rivers National Forest offers auto touring, biking, hiking, horse and OHV opportunities, though not every activity is centered at the campground itself. The campground's footprint is compact and straightforward: 32 single-family sites, each designated to accommodate both tents and RVs, are spaced among the trees and furnished with picnic tables and metal campfire rings with grills. Vault toilets and a drinking water source are provided, roads through the campground are paved, and a host may be on site during the season. The campsite listing does not specify electrical or sewer hookups, so if you need hookups, confirm availability when planning your trip. Likewise, fees, reservation windows and seasonal closures are not detailed here contact the Six Rivers National Forest office or check the Forest Service website for up-to-date reservation and fee information as well as any local regulations (food storage, hunting seasons, river safety) you should follow before you arrive.
