“When we go camping at Sedona, Cave Springs is our first choice. Absolutely love the campground and the staff who works there. Surrounded by trees, plenty of bathrooms, and plenty of sites to choose from.”

Cave Spring sits along Oak Creek in Coconino National Forest just north of Sedona's red rock corridor, offering a shady, creekside campsite framed by ponderosa pines and the canyon's steep walls. The campground contains 63 sites, all configured to accommodate both tents and RVs, spread across four loops (Loop A has 21 sites; Loop D 15; Loop E 12; Loop F 15). Many campsites run right up to the banks of Oak Creek, where the water is cool and clear and is regularly stocked with trout anglers will find easy bank access and short walking paths that follow the creek for birding and quick strolls. Individual sites include a picnic table, campfire ring and a metal cooking grill; token-operated showers, drinking water and vault restrooms are on site, and the loops can handle RVs, trailers and motor homes up to 36 feet. Beyond the campsite, a network of nearby trails climbs the canyon slopes and traces the creek corridor, providing straightforward day hikes and good viewpoints without long approaches. Slide Rock State Park, a popular natural swimming and cliff-jumping spot, is a short drive away, and the town of Sedona with dining, supplies and more extensive trailheads sits at the canyon's mouth. For broader exploration, the vast 1.8-million acre Coconino National Forest offers a wide range of activities from auto touring and mountain biking to horseback riding, climbing and winter sports; check forest resources for trail and road conditions if you plan longer outings. For up-to-date details on fees, seasonal openings and reservations, or questions about site availability and access, call the campground phone at (928) 203-0624.
