“Beautiful location close to Flagstaff. The vault toilets are clean and well kept, and the campground host was friendly. There's a trail with a tunnel under the road to get from the campground to the lake which is nice.”
“The campground hosts were friendly and supportive given the weather conditions.”
“Well maintained quite campground. Hosts did an awesome job prepping the sites between visits. Bathrooms extremely clean. Good location, near Flagstaff. Easy access to the AZ Trail. I will stay there again.”

15257 Lake Mary Road
Open in Google Maps ↗
Lakeview Campground sits on a terraced hillside among mature ponderosa pines, with gravel roads and gently sloping sites that give many campsites partial views of Lake Mary through the trees. The loop contains 30 sites in total: 21 tent-only sites and 9 sites that can accommodate both RVs and tents. Half the sites (15) are reservable in advance and the other 15 are held on a first-come, first-served basis, so plan accordingly in peak season. Each campsite comes with a picnic table, a metal fire ring and a cooking grill; the campground provides drinking water, accessible vault toilets, and trash service for registered campers only. A camp host lives on-site, and pets are welcome but must be restrained or on a leash at all times. For up-to-date information on fees, seasonal openings, and any restrictions, call the facility number at (928) 774-9671. The setting makes the campground especially appealing to people who enjoy hiking, fishing and wildlife viewing: birds observed here include bald eagles, ospreys, migratory waterfowl and great blue herons, while elk and mule deer are commonly seen in the forested edges. A short walk or paddle brings you to Lake Mary the nearby Lake Mary picnic area offers a universally accessible boat ramp for fishing and a pleasant shoreline for kayaking, paddleboarding and small-boat recreation. The Wood Memorial Trail links Lakeview Campground directly to the Lake Mary picnic area, so you can go from campsite to water on foot. Beyond the immediate campground, Coconino National Forest supports a wider range of activities boating, biking, horseback riding, climbing and winter sports among them but note that Lakeview's facilities are focused on tent and small-RV camping without on-site hookups.
