“Great location! Perfect for younger kids, while older kids enjoyed fishing and hiking up the creek. The hosts were friendly, and the campsites were well maintained.”
“Perfect little spot almost in town but secluded so you feel like you are in the wilderness. Sycamores and cottonwoods provide necessary but excellent shade. Host was super friendly and helpful”

Chavez Crossing Group Campground sits along Oak Creek in the Red Rock district just south of Sedona, surrounded by sycamore and cypress groves and framed by the red-hued cliffs and buttes carved at the base of the Mogollon Rim (the rim in this region ranges roughly between 5,000 and 7,000 feet). This is a designated group site area: TOTAL CAMPSITES: 3. SITE TYPE BREAKDOWN: - 3 Both RV Sites & Tent Sites each of the three group sites is sized to accommodate both tent campers and RVs, and the three sites together can be reserved for a combined capacity of 110 people. Sites back up to the creek, where you can expect the sound of running water in warmer months and a cottonwood-and-cypress canopy that provides shade; the description mentions relaxing by a campfire at your site in the evenings. The campground address is 201 Oak Creek Cliffs Dr., Sedona, AZ 86336, and it sits adjacent to the Poco Diablo Resort along Oak Creek. From Flagstaff you generally drive south through Oak Creek Canyon on Highway 89A to Sedona and then onto Highway 179; from Phoenix you take the Sedona exit and approach on Highway 179 north. For facility-specific information or to reserve the group sites, call (928) 203-0624.
