“We enjoyed this campground. It is not large but it is peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of sunsets. We canoed around the lake and enjoyed being out in nature. If your looking from something smaller with less activities other than relaxing this is your place ”

Denby Point sits on the western shore of Lake Ouachita in the Ouachita Mountains, about 28 miles west of Hot Springs and easily reached from US 270 near Ouachita Shores Parkway. The campground contains 67 sites in total: 58 of those are set up for both RVs and tents with electric and water hookups, while 9 are tent-only. Sites are arranged across four loops Loop A (16 sites), Loop B (20 sites), Loop C (10 sites) and Loop D (21 sites) and the area also offers two group campsites that include electric hookups. Practical amenities that make multi-day stays comfortable include a dump station, fish-cleaning station, hot showers and a boat ramp right at the campground, plus a swim beach for easy water access. The lake itself defines the recreation here: crystal-clear water draws scuba divers to flooded forests and submerged mountain valleys, and world-class striped bass fishing keeps anglers busy year-round; jet skiers and boaters will find plenty of open water and marinas nearby. Hikers can access sections of the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail along the southern end of the lake, and the broader area of Ouachita National Forest opens up 1.8 million acres for day trips, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. Denby Point is unstaffed; for reservations, fees, seasonal details or other questions call the main office at (501) 767-2101, and the Army Corps of Engineers' Lake Ouachita resources (including a virtual tour) provide additional planning information.
