“We were the only campers at the park so it was very quiet. The only issue was the water was cut off the last day we were there.”
“Lots of ants and fire ants at our site. The fire pit was pretty great. No scenic views available. The grounds not well maintained, but it is handy for a last minute get away when no other parks are open and you don’t have any major desires for recreation.”

Paraloma Park occupies a quiet stretch on the north portion of Millwood Lake in the small Paraloma community, sitting in flat, lowland terrain ringed by dense timber and offering lake views from most campsites. Millwood Lake itself is known nationally for fishing much of the lake contains about 20,000 acres of submerged timber that shelter largemouth, white, striped and spotted bass, channel and flathead catfish, bluegill, sunfish, buffalo carp, crappie and drum and Paraloma is frequently cited as a catfishing hotspot in spring and early fall. Beyond angling, the broader Millwood complex supports a wide range of outdoor pursuits: boating from the local ramp, water sports on open water, wildlife viewing and birding for more than 300 species, duck hunting in season, hiking and simple day-use activities like picnicking and playground time for kids. The campground itself provides 30 paved sites all 30 are configured to accommodate both RVs and tents each with water and electricity, and the area offers flush toilets, showers and a trailer dump station for RV users. On-site features include a boat ramp and a fishing pier plus a small playground, so most of the lake- and family-oriented recreation is immediately accessible from your campsite. Paraloma Landing is reached off Highway 234 (the landing sits about 1.5 miles south of the community of Paraloma), and nearby towns for supplies or services include Ashdown and Nashville, Arkansas, and Texarkana, Texas. Fees, reservation rules, seasonal openings and specific hunting or boating regulations are not listed here; check the official park or managing office before you go for current rates, reservation availability and any access or seasonal restrictions.
