“Beautiful setting, easy access, hiking trail.”
“Beautifully shaded site (#2) with a view of the water and a close walk to vault toilets. We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience. There is no dump station on site, but there is one in Eagle River about 10 miles away.”
“Would be nice to allow 2 campers on 1 site”

Kentuck Lake Campground sits on the east shore of a 955-acre Kentuck Lake in a stand of maple at about 1,730 feet, offering direct access to open water and mixed hardwood-conifer forest. The lake is open to both motorized and non-motorized boating and is a genuine draw for anglers expect musky, walleye, northern pike, large and smallmouth bass, crappie and perch. A 2.5-mile hiking trail that begins near the campground boat landing links Kentuck Lake to Spectacle Lake Campground, winding through mature upland hardwoods and lowland conifer stands that are good for birding and wildlife spotting; swimmers and paddlers will find easy water access from the campground itself. The broader Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest around Kentuck Lake supports a wide range of recreation hiking, biking, horse riding, OHV routes, and seasonal hunting so the campground can be a base for both quiet lakeside days and longer multi-activity outings. The developed campground has 31 single-family sites for tents and RVs; 29 sites accommodate both RVs and tents and 2 are tent-only. Eighteen sites can be reserved in advance while thirteen remain available on a first-come, first-served basis; sites come with picnic tables and fire rings with grills, and a pressurized water system provides drinking water. A boat landing is located within the campground, making it convenient to launch before or after setting up camp. Kentuck Lake Campground is roughly 15 20 miles east of the resort town of Eagle River and is accessed from State Highway 70 onto forest roads; because seasonal openings, fees, and permit requirements can change, check the Forest Service recreation pages before you go for current reservation details and any access notices.
