Two Lakes Campground sits on the narrow strip of land between Lake Owen and Bass Lake, where most of the 94 sites look out across open water and are shaded by pines and mixed hardwoods. The setting puts you directly into lake life: two swimming beaches, two boat ramps and a fishing pier are on-site, and both lakes hold panfish, northern pike, walleye, bass and trout, so anglers have options right from the shore or from a boat. Boating is a major draw here powerboats, sailboats, water skiers, canoes and kayaks all share the water and there's a half-mile interpretive trail within the campground plus a nearby access point to the North Country National Scenic Trail for longer hikes. Two Lakes also borders the Porcupine Lake Wilderness, where rolling hills and flatter sections are cloaked in oak, maple, hemlock and white pine, giving paddlers and hikers a quick transition from campground activity to quieter backcountry. Practical details are straightforward: the campground offers 94 sites total 87 sites designated for both RVs and tents and 7 tent-only sites and each site includes a picnic table, fire ring and grill. Facilities include drinking water, vault toilets and a dump station for RVs. Fees are posted as $23 per campsite, an $8 visitor day use fee (6 a.m. 10 p.m.), $13 for overflow parking when space is available, and an $8 daily boat launch fee. Two Lakes is about a 10-mile drive southeast of Drummond on the forest road network (Forest Roads 213/214), where you'll find groceries, restaurants and the local historical museum. Seasonal openings, reservation options and current conditions can change, so check the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest website or contact the district office before you go.
