Jennifer T ★ 4 · Jun 2021Large site, with obstructed access to the river (you have to cross two large logs and walk through some overgrown plants). The site is awesome, the area is beautiful. The mosquitos were strong from around 7pm to 9pm, but other than that we really loved this site. The campground is private and has a good amount of trees / shade, yet close to bathrooms and a water pump. Lots of parking and several tent pads. Cute bridge adjacent to the group site. Trail head for the waterfall is across the street - it is a great hike - a lot of stairs but highly recommended!
Cecilia B ★ 4 · Jun 2021Stayed in the group space. Lots of room for vehicles and tents. Backs up to the river with a small area for enjoying the view. Went in late May so the river was flowing fast...you will need to watch pets and children. Short walk to the interpretive trail, toilet, and water pump. Signage to the campground is not obvious....its the 2nd left after the parking area for the Silver Falls Trailhead.

Silver Falls Group Site sits along the Entiat River in forested mountain terrain of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest's Entiat Ranger District, and the river and nearby cascade shape much of the experience here. The Silver Falls National Recreation Trail a 1.8-mile loop with roughly 600 feet of elevation gain follows Silver Creek to the base of the falls, passing handcrafted stone staircases and small bridges and opening to broad mountain views; it's a family-friendly hike that rewards you with close waterfall sights and dense stands of cedar and pine. Anglers will find good trout water in the Entiat River upstream from the campground, where riffles, pools and plunge pools hold rainbow, cutthroat and eastern brook trout (selective gear rules apply check Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife). Wildlife is common in the surrounding forest: mule deer and elk move through the valleys, and both bald and golden eagles and a variety of woodpeckers and owls are possible sights. Nearby geological features include Box Canyon (a narrow chasm with Fish Tail Falls) and Entiat Falls, a broad 25-foot cascade just a few miles north; the small communities of Ardenvoir and Entiat are the closest services. Practical details matter here: this campground offers a single group campsite (verified count: 1) that accommodates both RVs and tents rather than a bank of individual, reservable family sites. The group area includes a covered picnic shelter with a fireplace, picnic tables, campfire rings, drinking water and accessible vault toilets. Because this is a Forest Service site on a mountain river road, check current fees, reservation policies and seasonal road conditions with the Entiat Ranger District or recreation.gov before you arrive; weather ranges from long, warm, sunny summers to snowy winters, and access is via Entiat River Road/Forest Service Road 51 off US-97A on the west side of the Columbia River north of Wenatchee. The site works well as a base for hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing and river-side picnics, with wider forest opportunities nearby for biking, boating, climbing, horseback riding and winter sports.
