What guests say

Verbatim from guest reviews on Recreation.gov ↗ (68 reviews, ★ 5.0). Not written or edited by us.

“We enjoyed ourselves, a fantastic spot, small yet very nice. Everything was in a well maintained manner. Will surely consider it again. ”

Michael L 5 · Sep 2025 · Recreation.gov

“a little tight, lots of local regulars. quite a few kids crossing through and runnning through campsites. A litttle noisey until 9pm. but nice and convenient to the town and resturants and laundry and such. ”

Richard S 4 · Sep 2025 · Recreation.gov

“Nice clean campground with nice hosts. Dump station and water are easily accessible and there are water spigots all over the campground. There was a fire ban in effect and people still had fires and the hosts didn't address it.”

Kevin B 4 · Aug 2025 · Recreation.gov

About

White Bridge Campground sits along Panguitch Creek on the north side of Highway 143 about 12 miles southwest of Panguitch (and roughly 55 miles northeast of Cedar City). The facility has 28 family campsites, each sized to accommodate both tents and RVs, with a mix of creekside sites shaded by cottonwoods and more open sites across the loop road that include picnic shelters for shade. Basic services are provided: drinking water, a dump station, and both flush and vault toilets. Off-highway and street-legal ATVs are permitted in the campground only for ingress and egress between your campsite and the road joyriding inside the loop is prohibited so plan to park and lock trailers when not riding. At an elevation of about 7,900 feet, the campground sits on the Colorado Plateau amid sagebrush with stands of aspen, pinyon and juniper; evenings cool off quickly, so bring warm layers and check current seasonal conditions before you go. Recreation centers on the water and the trails. Panguitch Creek offers steady rainbow trout fishing right from camp, and Panguitch Lake is only about 6 miles away where anglers target large rainbows as well as brook, cutthroat and brown trout; canoeing is common on the lake and boat ramps are on the south shore and at Wildlife Point. Hikers and mountain bikers will find routes within and around the campground, and the nearby Panguitch Lake ATV Trail System opens onto more than 100 miles of tracked routes for longer rides. For day trips, Cedar Breaks National Monument is about 16 miles away with trails and guided programs, the Ashdown Gorge Wilderness (including the Twisted Forest of ancient bristlecone pines) lies just outside Cedar Breaks, and Bryce Canyon National Park is a little over an hour's drive. The broader Dixie National Forest offers a range of activities auto touring, horseback riding and camping, winter sports, wildlife viewing and more but for up-to-date information on fees, reservations and seasonal availability check the Forest Service website or contact the local ranger district before your visit.
