“We love this campground. It has everything you would want for a good camping experience. The hosts are amazing!”
“Beautifully kept campground with warm and friendly hosts. There is a nice amount of space between you and your neighbors. We loved having the trails by the lake to walk our dog and ride our bikes. ”

Union Creek Campground sits on the north shore of Phillips Reservoir in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, about 18 miles south of Baker City on Highway 7. The site is sheltered by a mix of Ponderosa pine and firs with open grass patches that bring out colorful wildflowers in spring and clear sightlines to the Elkhorn Mountains. The campground contains 59 total campsites for both RVs and tents: the three vehicle-accessible loops account for most of these with Loop A offering 22 sites, Loop B 16, and Loop C 17, and there are four separate group sites that together can accommodate groups up to 60 people. Parking spurs are a mix of paved and gravel and are large enough for any size RV; several sites provide full hookups while others offer water and electrical service. Units come with picnic tables and grills, drinking water and flush toilets are on site, some facilities are handicap-accessible, and a sewer dump is included with your fee if you're in Loops B or C. There is also a separate walk-in tent camping area for those who prefer a bit more distance from vehicle loops. The recreation options are oriented around Phillips Reservoir: a nearby boat launch and a small rocky swim beach make swimming, boating and water skiing easy to access from the campground, and anglers commonly fish for bass, trout and perch. The Phillips Lake Shoreline Trail begins near the campground and can be linked into a roughly 16-mile loop around the lake for hikers and mountain bikers who want longer outings without returning the same way. The Union Creek Recreation Area also includes a day-use picnic area for shorter visits. Practical notes before you go: reservations are paid in full at booking (your card is charged when the reservation completes), a $10 non-refundable online reservation fee may apply for some facilities, and a $10 service fee will be charged for changes or cancellations with additional charges possible for late cancellations see the NRRS reservation policy for full details. Finally, be sure you're headed to the Union Creek in northeastern Oregon; this is not the campground near Medford.
