Horsfall Campground sits low on the Oregon coast in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area at about 100 feet elevation, a short drive off Highway 101 between Reedsport and North Bend. The campground provides direct access to broad dune country and Horsfall Beach, with Horsfall Lake, Bluebill Lake, Spirit Lake and several small ponds all within a mile; Haynes Inlet and Coos Bay lie just a little farther away. There are 70 campsites total 67 that accommodate both RVs and tents and 3 RV-only sites each outfitted with a picnic table and a metal fire ring with grill. Visitors will find flush toilets, drinking water, trash collection and recycling on site, plus a dedicated ATV loading ramp for dune riders. The climate here is generally mild year-round, and the layout of the campground and nearby ponds gives a mix of sandy, open riding terrain and quieter water-edge spots for birdwatching and low-key exploration. The campground functions as a practical base camp for off-highway vehicle use: open riding zones and ORV trails begin northwest of the loop, and Horsfall Beach Road leads directly to the shore. Non-motorized options are nearby as well the Bluebill Lake Trail and the Wild Mare Horse Trail are good for hikers and horseback riders and the broader Siuslaw National Forest supports activities ranging from biking and fishing to interpretive programs and wildlife viewing. Note the reservation policy: campsites not occupied within 24 hours of the arrival time will be released as no-shows, so call the ranger station at (541) 271-6000 if you expect a late arrival or to confirm current fees and availability.
