Horsfall Beach Campground sits on the central Oregon Coast within the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, about 2 miles north of North Bend and roughly 22 miles south of Reedsport off Highway 101. The campground occupies a seaside edge where open sand dunes give way to stretches of beach and pockets of forest; small inland lakes such as Horsfall Lake, Spirit Lake, and Bluebill Lake lie a short distance to the east. There are 34 sites in total, all designated RV sites, and the facility provides flush toilets, drinking water, trash collection, recycling, and an accessible beach viewing platform that looks out over the Pacific. Sites 1 23 include picnic tables and fire rings; sites 24 34 do not. There are no RV hookups or dump stations, and the day-use area has a paved parking lot for pedestrian beach access with a self-pay station on Horsfall Beach Road. This is a campground geared toward off-highway vehicle riders and people who want easy access to the beach: ORV trails and open riding zones begin due north and northeast of the site, while the beach itself is suitable for beachcombing, sunbathing, and swimming, and the viewing platform provides an easy alternative for ocean watching. Non-motorized options are close by as well the Bluebill Lake Trail and the Wild Mare Horse Trail welcome hikers and horseback riders. The Siuslaw National Forest and the surrounding recreation area also support biking, fishing, boating and other outdoor pursuits, offering a wide menu of activities beyond Horsfall's immediate shoreline. Practical notes: the campground is 100% reservations only (no walk-up or first-come, first-served sites), campsites not occupied within 24 hours of the scheduled arrival time will be released as a no-show, and visitors expecting to arrive later should call the ranger station at (541) 271-6000.
