“The campsite was clean, quiet and pretty private, with bushes on either side. It's close to Horsfall Beach and Coos Bay. For some reason I had almost no mobile data signal, but that was ok cuz it kept me from looking at my phone too much. ”
“Loved it! Quite! Away from the UTV chaos, in the woods with the birds. Miles of great walking only trails!”
“Some pretty raucous guests. Very loud, lots of profanity. I do believe they were living there”

Bluebill Campground sits in the Horsfall Dunes section of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, just northwest of Bluebill Lake and under a mile from the Pacific shoreline, providing a compact base for beach, lake and dune outings. The site has 18 campsites, and every site is set up to accommodate both tents and RVs, with drinking water, vault toilets, individual campfire pits or fire rings, and a dumpster onsite; a campground host is also on hand to answer questions. Sites can be reserved in advance (all 18 are reservable), and campsites that remain unoccupied 24 hours after the scheduled arrival time are released as no-shows unless you notify the ranger station for facility-specific questions or late arrivals call (541) 271-6000. The entrance is reached from Highway 101 in the Horsfall Dunes area, about 22 miles south of Reedsport or just a short drive north from North Bend, making it an easy stop for travelers moving the coast. Recreation at Bluebill revolves around water, sand and trails: Bluebill Lake borders the campground and offers straightforward fishing access and a 1.2-mile loop trail that circles the water, excellent for a short hike or an easy morning run. The campground also provides direct access to the Bluebill Trail and to the network of off-highway vehicle routes that draw ORV riders to this part of the dunes; two OHV staging areas are located along Horsfall Beach Road. Other nearby dunes and tracks are reserved for hikers and horseback riders, and the Wild Mare Trail close by is popular with equestrians. Beyond Bluebill, scenic waterways and coastal destinations are within easy reach head toward Coos Bay, the open Pacific beaches, or Horsfall Lake and the broader Siuslaw National Forest and Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area offer additional opportunities for biking, boating, wildlife viewing, interpretive programs, and other outdoor pursuits.
