“One of the best camp spots towards the coast range. Lot's of space for all sorts of activities and being so close to the river was a added bonus.”
“Reserve for privacy and your own group/family, but you always have randos stop and walk around the gate, and right into campsites. Maybe like stores now, you could install coded lock on restroom? Signs don't seem to matter. ”

Rocky Bend Group Campground sits on the banks of the Nestucca River in the coastal mountains east of Beaver, Oregon, and consists of a single group campsite (total campsites: 1) designed for gatherings of up to 50 people. The site is listed as both RV and tent capable (1 both RV sites & tent sites) and provides parking space sufficient for 3 4 RVs or trailers plus 3 5 additional vehicles. On-site amenities are straightforward and practical: five picnic tables, a large communal fire ring, a vault toilet and a garbage dumpster, with easy walking access down to the river. The immediate landscape is riverfront forest rather than manicured loops, so groups should plan logistics around a single shared camp area rather than individual, private sites. Recreation centers on the Nestucca River anglers can fish for steelhead and salmon during open seasons and nearby trailheads give access to Niagara and Pheasant Creek Falls as well as Clarence Creek Falls for day hikes and waterfall viewing. The campground is located along the Nestucca Country Scenic Byway and is reached via Upper Nestucca River Road about 16 miles east of Beaver; because it lies within Siuslaw National Forest, the broader area supports activities such as hiking, wildlife viewing, boating and other water sports, picnicking, and equestrian or OHV opportunities in designated areas. The site listing does not specify drinking water or utility hookups, so groups should confirm current fees, reservation rules, seasonal openings and road conditions with the Siuslaw National Forest office before arrival and plan to be largely self-sufficient.
