Pine Creek Cove sits on the western shore of Pine Creek Lake just below the main dam, roughly 7 8 miles north of Valliant along Pine Creek Road; follow the signed access road into the campground. The lake itself is fed by the Little River and covers about 3,750 acres with roughly 74 miles of shoreline at the edge of the Ouachita Mountains, which gives the shoreline an irregular, wooded character and plenty of quiet coves for paddling and birding. A sandy beach at the cove draws swimmers and families, and the park's forest management has created a network of trails and riding routes in the surrounding public land for hiking and horseback exploration. The lake's high shoreline-to-water ratio supports productive fishing anglers target crappie, white bass, largemouth bass, channel and flathead catfish, and a variety of sunfish and the campground's position near the dam makes it a convenient launching point for reaching prime fishing spots and water-sports areas. The developed campground offers 41 campsites, each equipped to accommodate both RVs and tents and fitted with electric and water hookups, plus a group camping shelter that also has electric service.
