“We loved the site we had. But we love camping at Sardis Lake and try to make it down at least once a year. We love traveling around the area. ”
“We really like this campground and your camp host, Jordan, is the best!!!”
“This is an older campground with water, 30 amp service, central sewer dump, varied parking surfaces and accommodating different lengths of campers . It's a beautiful location and seems to be in a good state of repair. I will choose this campground in the future.”

Potato Hills Central Campground sits on the north shore of Sardis Lake, a 14,360-acre reservoir with about 117 miles of shoreline at the western edge of the Ouachita Mountain foothills. Sites at Potato Hills Central are shaded by blackjack oak, post oak and pines; the campground contains 82 campsites that accommodate both RVs and tents, all with electric hookups, laid out across four loops LA (24 sites), LB (24), LC (14) and LD (20). Quiet conveniences include restrooms and hot showers at the campground, a playground for children, and an accessible fishing dock a short walk from the campsites; a hiking trail is reachable directly from the campground for short walks into the rolling terrain. Around the lake you'll also find a swim beach and multiple fishing docks, as well as group camping areas and picnic shelters equipped with tables, electricity and large outdoor cooking grills. The lake is the main draw for many visitors: Sardis is well known among Oklahoma anglers for producing some of the state's largest bass, and it also supports crappie, catfish and walleye. Boating and other water sports jet skiing, canoeing and swimming are popular, and more than 8,000 acres of public land around the lake provide opportunities for wildlife viewing and hunting. Potato Hills Central works well as a family base or an angler's camp: sites are equipped for RVs, kids have a playground close by, and the accessible dock and fishing infrastructure make shoreline access simple. For directions and practical details like current fees, reservation policies and seasonal availability, contact the Sardis Lake office; the campground is reached from Clayton by heading north on Highway 2, and it's also accessible from McAlister via US-69, the Indian Nations Turnpike and State Highway 43 to the Sardis Lake area. Potato Hills South Campground and other park facilities are nearby if you need additional space or services.
