Campbell Point sits on the White River Arm of Table Rock Lake, where oak and hickory woods give way to soft grassy picnic areas and a long sandy beach that collects sun and swimmers on warm days. The shoreline and marina make this a magnet for people who come for water-focused recreation: a full-service marina and boat ramp put you on the lake quickly for boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing or one of the seasonal commercial boat cruises on Table Rock. Scuba divers and shore anglers will find ample opportunities here crappie, catfish and bluegill are common, but the lake is best known for its bass (largemouth, smallmouth, white and spotted), and tournament fishing takes place year-round. On land, the two-mile Table Rock Lakeshore Trail and nearby sections of the Mark Twain National Forest offer short hikes, spring wildflower displays and colorful fall foliage, and the Dewey Short Visitor Center at the dam provides exhibits and films about the lake and local natural history for anyone wanting a break from the water. Practical details make longer stays comfortable: Campbell Point has 73 total campsites 72 sites are suitable for both RVs and tents, and one is tent-only and a large reservable group picnic shelter for gatherings. Individual sites offer electric hookups and the campground provides hot showers, drinking water and a dump station; there's also a swim area, playground and a volleyball court for families. Gate attendants can answer questions on arrival, but they are not able to make reservations by phone; to reserve a site call (877) 444-6777. The campground is reached from the Cassville area by following Highway 76 and Highway 39 to the Highway YY access road that leads southeast to the site, and it's roughly 40 miles from Branson for groceries, gas and additional services.
