Aunts Creek sits on the James River Arm of Table Rock Lake, tucked into oak hickory forest with most campsites opening onto broad views of the water and the low Ozark foothills. The campground has 53 reservable sites in total: 51 that accommodate both RVs and tents, one RV-only site and one tent-only site, so groups with mixed gear can usually find a single spot to gather. Amenities are practical and straightforward electric hookups, hot showers, drinking water and a dump station plus a single large group picnic shelter you can reserve for gatherings. A short walk from the loops brings you to a boat ramp, a designated swimming area, a playground and a grassy picnic spot where families tend to linger; gate attendants can answer questions on arrival, but reservations must be made by calling the central reservations line at (877) 444-6777 (they cannot be completed through gate staff). You'll reach the campground by heading south from Branson on Highway 13 and then west onto Highway 00, placing it within easy reach of town services without losing the quieter lakeside feel. Activity options radiate from the water: Aunts Creek is a good base for boating, scuba diving, and fishing on the productive James River Arm anglers chase crappie, catfish and bluegill, while Table Rock's bass population is a major draw. Hikes along the nearby Table Rock Lakeshore Trail (about two miles between Dewey Short Visitor Center and Table Rock State Park Marina) offer seasonal highlights like dogwood and redbud blooms in spring and colorful foliage in autumn, and additional hiking and mountain-biking access into the Mark Twain National Forest is a short drive away. The Dewey Short Visitor Center at the south end of the dam contains exhibits and short films on the dam and regional natural history and provides a courtesy dock for boat arrivals; the broader Table Rock Lake area also supports marinas, resorts with water activities and several seasonal commercial boat cruises. With clear water, roughly 779 miles of shoreline and lots of shoreline access from camp, Aunts Creek is a practical choice for campers who want direct lake access combined with basic comforts and easy links to Branson's supplies and services.
