About

Nemo Landing sits on the shorter arm of Pomme de Terre Lake where the narrow Lindley Creek winds into a landscape of tree-topped Ozark hills and dozens of small coves. The campground offers 79 campsites that accommodate both RVs and tents, with a mix of hookups and non-hookup options, plus a separate group camping area and shared amenities: hot showers, a swimming beach, a paved boat ramp, a playground and an amphitheater for programs or gatherings. The entrance is just south of Nemo off NN Highway, a short drive north from Springfield via US-65, so it's easy to reach while still feeling removed from town. Practical details such as fees, reservation windows and seasonal site availability change from year to year, so plan to check the park's reservation system or call the office before you go; the boat ramp and marina access make the site convenient for trailers and tow vehicles. Water takes center stage here: the lake's cool, clear spring-fed depths concentrate in narrow coves that create excellent fishing stretches for bass, walleye, crappie, catfish and muskies, a species notable at Pomme de Terre. Water-skiing, jet-skiing, canoeing and general boating are common, and Nemo Marina, located across the road, supplies fuel, storage, tackle and rentals when you need them. Beyond the shoreline, the broader recreation area supports hiking and horseback options on the Pomme de Terre Multipurpose Trail at Bolivar Landing and scenic viewpoints like the Indian Point Trail in Pittsburg State Park, while park programming and wildlife-viewing opportunities round out the experience for campers seeking both active days and quieter evenings by the water.
