“We stayed at Campsite 9. Sites 8, 9, and 10 are further from the river compared to the other sites, but you can still hear the water! The whole campground and Bathroom was clean and well maintained. The water access was beautiful. We can’t wait to come back. ”
“The land here was beautiful, and the sound of the river so relaxing. I also like when they have the bear proof lockers for food. The only downside is walking to and from site to unpack and pack. ”

Narrows Campground sits alongside the Cache la Poudre River about 32 miles northwest of Fort Collins on Highway 14, in the Arapaho & Roosevelt National Forests. The campground occupies a canyon setting where stands of ponderosa pine and aspen give way to open meadows and steep mountain walls; the lower loop of sites drops off fairly steeply to the river, so expect some uneven terrain near the water. There are 15 sites in all: seven are sized to accommodate both recreational vehicles and tents, while eight are walk-to tent sites. Each campsite includes a 12-by-15-foot tent pad, a picnic table and a metal campfire ring with grill; the campground also offers accessible single-family sites. Vault toilets and drinking water are available on site, but there are no electrical or sewer hookups. Recreation is centered on the Cache la Poudre, Colorado's first federally designated Wild and Scenic River the river sees both whitewater rafting and angling for brown, cutthroat and rainbow trout. Trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding radiate out from the area, including the Mt. McConnel Trail, the William R. Kreutzer National Recreation Trail and the Young Gulch Trail, and birding and wildlife viewing are popular from spring through fall. Dead-and-down firewood may be gathered in the forest or purchased from the host. Because fees, reservation rules and seasonal openings can change, check the U.S. Forest Service (Arapaho & Roosevelt National Forests) website or contact the local ranger district before you go for current information on campsite fees, reservation policies and road conditions on Highway 14.
