“The location is beautiful. This is a great spot to go spend time by the water, just relax with Mountain View’s. Cons: There are lots of big ants during this time of the year (July) and it was very windy at night. Over all the experience was lovely. ”
“Bad toilette and the men there would me cash again after online pay”

Paradise Cove sits on the shore of Lake Isabella at the southern end of the Sierra Nevada, where the reservoir marks the split between the Upper and Lower Kern Rivers. The campground is open year-round and offers 51 sites configured to accommodate both tents and RVs; sites are arranged in two sections with the upper loop featuring back-in sites and the lower area offering side-by-side parking. Every campsite looks toward the water, making the lake the day-to-day focus here swimming, water skiing and windsurfing are common in the warmer months, while trout fishing picks up in the cooler months; anglers will also find black and white crappie, bluegill, catfish and largemouth bass. The facility is operated by Rocky Mountain Recreation Company (a division of ExplorUS), and campground hosts can provide comment forms; for facility-specific questions including current amenities, fees and reservation procedures call (760) 376-1269. Beyond the campground the broader Sequoia National Forest stretches over roughly 1.1 million acres and drops from high alpine ridges down to lower foothills, supporting more than 30 groves of giant sequoias on its lower slopes. Paradise Cove makes a practical base for exploring those groves and the Trail of a Hundred Giants in the Giant Sequoia National Monument, as well as taking advantage of the forest's biking and hiking routes, horse camping and horseback riding opportunities, interpretive programs, and designated off-highway vehicle areas; there are also options for overnight stays at fire lookouts and cabins elsewhere in the forest. The nearby Giant Sequoia Mercantile supplies maps, books and basic camping gear if you need provisions, and the campground is reached from Bakersfield by heading east on State Route 178 through the town of Lake Isabella and continuing approximately three miles to Paradise Cove always call ahead to confirm conditions and any access notes before you go.
