“One of the best sites I've used everyone in the group commented how well upkept it was and the Campground host was great the restrooms were cleaner than most restaurant restrooms he was very accommodating for our group needs, we will use it again.”

Frazier Group Campground sits above Roosevelt Lake at about 2,200 feet in the saguaro-studded Sonoran Desert, offering broad views of the lake and the silhouettes of three surrounding wilderness areas at sunset. This is a true group site: there is 1 total campsite, configured to serve both RVs and tents, with a large open parking area that accommodates trailers and tow vehicles in a variety of parking arrangements. Basic campground facilities are provided for groups vault toilets, a shelter with group-sized picnic tables, grills and fire rings plus a watering trough and multiple water hydrants. Roads to the site are paved, and the campground is reached by following State Highway 188 off Highway 87 from the Phoenix/Mesa area; it lies just past the Roosevelt Lake visitor center (watch for the campground sign). The site is also a convenient launching point for outdoor activities in Tonto National Forest. Hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders can reach the Arizona National Scenic Trail via the Frazier Trail, and there are many other local trails; on-water recreation such as boating, fishing and swimming is available on Roosevelt Lake. Nearby points of interest include Tonto National Monument cliff dwellings, stretches of the Apache Trail (State Hwy 88) and the Desert to Tall Pines Scenic Road (State Hwy 288), plus the Tonto Basin Visitors Center for local natural and cultural history. Fees are $75 per night for groups of 1 49 people and $150 per night for groups of 50 100 people; seasonal availability and reservation procedures vary, so contact the Tonto National Forest office or the managing agency before you go to confirm dates, make reservations, and learn about any current access or fire restrictions.
