“Beautiful sites and campground. We did have an issue with drainage on Site G6. Stormwater runs off the road into the site and pools 2-3" deep. A drainage swale needs to be cut to divert water away from the site. ”
“One of the best Army Corps campgrounds that I’ve experienced. Very spacious sites, clean restrooms and showers and friendly personnel. ”
“I am 62 years old and I was raised at Old Hwy 25 Thumbling Shoals. I raised my children and now raising my grandsons. Best campsites on the entire Greers Ferry Lake. ”

Old Highway 25 Park sits on the shore of Greers Ferry Lake at the foot of Round Mountain in the Ozark Mountains, offering straightforward access to water- and land-based recreation. The lake itself supports boating, sailing, water skiing, swimming, scuba diving and year-round fishing, and several marinas nearby provide boat rentals, fuel, food and basic supplies so you can leave heavy provisions in town. Anglers will also notice the influence of the trout program below the dam: the Greers Ferry National Fish Hatchery and the Little Red River downstream are regularly stocked, and the William Carl Garner Visitor Center just west of the dam has exhibits, a children's touch table and a replica of the record brown trout caught in the Little Red. Hikers have several options close at hand, including three National Nature Trails and a multi-purpose fitness trail that trace shoreline views through mixed woods of red cedar, black gum, red oak, elm, pecan and sweet gum; wildlife viewing is common here, with white-tailed deer, wild turkeys and a wide variety of songbirds often visible from the trails or campsites. The campground is compact but varied: there are 98 campsites in total, 96 of which accommodate both RVs and tents and 2 that are tent-only, with a single group site (GROU 1) intended for larger gatherings. Sites are arranged in loops Loop A has 38 sites, Loop D 10, Loop E 9, Loop F 13 and Loop G 25 so you can pick a quieter corner or a more central spot near the facilities. On-site amenities include flush and vault toilets, showers, a dump station, a picnic shelter, a swimming beach and a boat ramp; the park also provides picnic areas, a playground and a specialized sport site for active families. Practical details such as fees, reservation rules and seasonal availability vary, so call the park for current information (local: (501) 250-0483; general: (501) 362-2416). The campground lies about nine miles north of Heber Springs off State Route 25, making it an easy base for day trips to the hatchery, visitor center and other nearby attractions around Greers Ferry Lake.
